We were totally reliant on Checkatrade to source us a reliable expert for our repair job. We signed up and posted our needs, here but unfortunately, we were left in the lurch.
- Absolutely no one reached out to us.
- The scattered quotes we did receive were outrageous.
- Worst of all, their helpline was non-existent.
We are extremely disappointed with Checkatrade and would urge using their services. There are much better alternatives out there. We are saddened by having wasted our resources on this disappointing service.

They Paid, But Never Saw the Project: Checkatrade Disaster.
My rundown with Checkatrade turned into a nightmare. I hired a trader through their service to carry out some vital home repairs. They seemed legitimate at first, but it resulted in a terrible ordeal.
Despite I sent the full amount upfront, the work never started. Contact ceased. It's been months, and I'm still left with a gaping hole where my sense of security once was.
Checkatrade has been beyond frustrating throughout this whole process. They laughed at my plight. It feels like I've been taken advantage of.
